The remote start button, in conjunction with a manual change over switch, allows you to automatically start the generator when in range with the press of a single button. This allows you to start your generator from the comfort of your home or office without having to go outside into the weather. Because the ignition of the generator will remain in the "On" position, the built-in battery charger (on BPD 12kVA units and up) should be connected to your mains electricity to keep the battery topped up.

How it works: The remote will start the generator outside, giving the engine time to speed up while you turn the manual change over switch indoors from "Mains" through "Neutral" to "Generator" to provide power to your premises. This ensures that no dangerous feedback can occur on the mains or generator lines. We recommend giving the generator 30 seconds to 1 minute to get up to speed and warm up before placing a heavy load on it.
